It is freedom to sing; music is art of the soul. When I sing, I allow those around me to experience my inner thoughts and emotions. As paint on a pallet and words on a piece of paper can convey a message, ever since three years old, I have been singing and letting others in on who I am in a unique way. From bright stages around the country to dim shelters in the heart of Detroit, I have been able to use my voice to speak to many and convey to them messages of hope, love, and joy. Growing up in a family who dedicated their lives to the service of others, I purposed in my heart to use the skills that I gain throughout my life to benefit not just those in my community, but those who are beyond the boundaries of my comfort zone. With this in mind I pursued my goals of medical school and continued my passion for the art of singing and music, seeking the field that intertwined these concepts.
